Enter your details and press Calculate CGPA. Your result will appear here.

How to use the CGPA Calculator

  1. Enter the SGPA of each semester (0–10).
  2. Add total credits of each semester if your university uses credit weighting.
  3. Press Calculate CGPA.

CGPA Calculator formula

CGPA = Σ(SGPA × Credits) ÷ Σ Credits
Without credits: CGPA = sum of SGPAs ÷ number of semesters.

Worked example

SGPA 8.2 (22 credits), 7.8 (24 credits), 8.6 (20 credits): CGPA = (180.4 + 187.2 + 172) ÷ 66 = 8.18.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between SGPA and CGPA?

SGPA is the grade point average of one semester. CGPA is the average across all semesters completed so far.

Should I use credits?

Yes, if your university's CGPA is credit-weighted (most are). Semesters with more credits count more.

How do I convert CGPA to percentage?

Many boards and universities use percentage = CGPA × 9.5. Check your university's official rule.

What is a good CGPA?

Above 8 is generally considered very good and above 7 good, but it depends on your college and field.

Can I calculate the SGPA needed to reach a target CGPA?

Yes — add a future semester with a trial SGPA and adjust it until the CGPA reaches your target.
