Worked example
sin(30) = 0.5 (degrees). log(1000) = 3. 5! = 120. √(144) = 12. 2^10 = 1024.
Frequently asked questions
How do I switch between degrees and radians?
Tick or untick the Degrees box. School trigonometry usually uses degrees.
What is the difference between log and ln?
log is base 10 (log 100 = 2). ln is the natural log with base e (ln e = 1).
Does it follow BODMAS?
Yes. Brackets, powers, division/multiplication and addition/subtraction are applied in the correct order.
Can I type with my keyboard?
Yes. Type in the display and press Enter to calculate.
Why do I get 'Math error'?
The result is undefined, for example the square root of a negative number or log of 0.
